PSL is a growing organisation with a number of new customers and contracts as well as a strong record of long term clients. We need excellent people to make sure that success continues. Our organisation IS our people and we recognise the value of the team who make us what we are.

We are looking for exceptional people to join our organisation. If you think you’ve got what it takes for any of the roles detailed below then we would like to hear from you.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR AGENCIES: Please see the information for agencies at the foot of this page.

We understand that the process of applying for a job can often be lengthy and stressful. We genuinely appreciate your time and your interest in our company so we’ve put together some advice below to help you.

Why PSL?

Before applying, really consider whether or not the role is one that truly inspires you and that PSL is a company you believe in. We want potential team members to feel genuinely excited about joining PSL – and specifically PSL, not just any production company – this consideration can help you craft the thoughtful application that’s necessary to make us want to meet you.

Attention to Detail:

Please address all applications to our Group Executive Assistant, Nicki Beck. Shape your application to the role you are applying for, a generic covering letter where you’ve inserted our company name in place of the last company you applied to will not inspire us to want to get you in. It also never hurts to triple check your spelling and grammar – it matters in your job so it matters all the more in your application for one!

We value specialists but we REALLY value people who better themselves by developing a wide range of skills & interests and an understanding of how the whole “system” works. Our team consists of people whose knowledge and experience covers many subjects and who understand the way our whole company and its processes operate – this way we are all able to look after our customers to a higher standard – we consider this invaluable to the company’s success.

Skill Set:

Please carefully read the job description and apply if you feel that you have at least 70% of the required experience. If you don’t have everything we’re looking for then your ability and willingness to learn, your attention to detail in the crafting of your application and your determination could see you through, however we do require people to fit the job description to the greater extent, so please apply with that in mind.

If you want to work at PSL but don’t see a job description that is comparable to your skill set, please email our Group Executive Assistant, Nicki Beck on

Tell us why you think you would be a great addition to the team, where you could add value and how you fit in for the benefit of the business.

Your Interview:

A job interview should be an exciting and two-way discussion about the mutual benefits of you joining our team. It should not be a grilling of your abilities by us but nor should it be us listening to you spouting off irrelevant information for several hours! A new employee should empower the company to make more money (after all this is a business), be that person. Please approach your interview bearing this in mind, listen, sell yourself and your enthusiasm, leave out irrelevant chat but make sure you don’t leave out something that might clinch the job! Find out about us and what we do so you’re not asking questions that you could have easily found the answers to already.

Be Curious:

Team members at PSL show real initiative and think for themselves. Ask us questions, find out about whether you fit!

Work Experience Placements

Part time

PSL has a limited number of work experience placements available for work on events, installations and in the studio.

We get an absolutely HUGE number of applications for this so if this is something that you’re interested in then our advice is to make your application STAND OUT. (This doesn’t mean write it in fluorescent pink)!

You’re welcome to contact us regarding work placements however may we suggest that you read our section above titled “Want to make your application stand out”? and ensure that yours blows us away.

Good luck!

Work placement can be provided for anyone who has just completed their GCSEs through to Masters Degree students taking a gap year and wishing to gain experience.

The important part is your enthusiasm and a demonstration that you have applied yourself in your education to get to where you are now. Lazy is not an option – this isn’t for people who don’t like hard work.

You’ll have an obvious technical ability and natural grasp of technical equipment and systems. You’ll also only have to be told once!

Your knowledge will be representative of the education you’ve had and you’ll be able to prove that you listened and understood what you were taught.

If you’ve just finished a university degree, you’ll be able to show that you understand your speciality. If you’ve just finished GCSE maths, you’ll be able to prove you know how to use what you learned and are eager to get on in the entertainment tech industry.

You’ll be working with industry professionals and in some circumstances, tutors and lecturers who teach to degree level – so your continued education and real-world experience is in very good hands.

Applicants under the age of 18 will require parental consent prior to commencing any placement with PSL.

Please submit your application (which should exceed 500 words but be fewer than 1000 and explain why you should get a placement over anyone else who’s applying) to

Agencies – Please read this BEFORE contacting PSL:

PSL does not object to the use of agencies for sourcing the right people HOWEVER, we do NOT want to be hounded nor are we interested in a huge pile of CVs for people with a vague link to our industry. In the same way that we would expect applications from individuals to be relevant and appropriate to the position advertised, any submissions from agencies must be the same. Please do not send us generic or mailing list emails, they will be deleted. Similarly, please do NOT subscribe us to your mailing lists, we appreciate subject matter specific to us. Remember that YOU are the candidate’s first impression so if you’d like to be taken seriously then please present your candidate in a manner that is likely to get a favourable response.

We will pay for employees placed with PSL only on SUCCESSFUL completion of the candidate’s probation period, not before. If this is not acceptable to you (and we feel it absolutely should be) then please do not contact us as we will not agree to other terms.

Please note that your rate MUST be agreed in advance, BEFORE candidates are presented.
